The Batsto-Pleasant Mills United Methodist Church, adjacent to Batsto Village, was erected in 1808 on the site of a much older church. Community members, Richards family members, Batsto workers and their families came here to worship, for weddings, and for funerals. Today the church has a very active congregation. The church cemetery is the final resting place for generations of community members.
